Hump Day.... Not a great one

Yesterday was one of those days that anything that could go wrong will go wrong at work.
Today I thought would be different. So wrong I was. It was a disaster.

I left work earlier than usual because I felt like my brain was just shut off.

You know the McD's monopoly game is back, so I was excited about getting an ice cafe before getting on the bus ( yes, I annoy taking the train as I previously mentioned.).

I really do like their cafe when it's well done. Not today. I always get low far milk and sugar free vanilla syrup. I specify only a splash if milk.

Here comes my cafe, it looked like a cup of cream. I remind the guy that it was only a splash of milk. 2nd try. He making it the same way. I ask the guy are you using cream ? He responds "yes". I respond politely, I would like low fat milk please.

Another service clerk comes over two help him. He poor the cafe and a female worker tells him. Yuck. The coffee was almost transparent. He advises me that they need to make new coffee. I said ok. Who needs a new ice cafe? He just took a cup of ice and pour the hot coffee. Umm.

Me: did you just pour hot coffee?

Guy 2: Yes, but that should matter that's how we make the ice cafe anyways.

I might not be in the food service business but I am pretty sure, the coffee should be chilled prior to serving it. But, again since that's not
forte, I tried. Should have spit it out.

I tell him this is still nasty and watery
Now he offers me a latte, which is not my favorite. Remember, I wanted a splash of milk. But, I am trying to stay calm, this is supposed to be the better part if my day.

The latte looked like vanilla milk over ice, didn't have not even a hue of coffee in there. Oh, I had order a medium ice coffee which has the monopoly pieces. Now he us giving me latte in a medium with no pieces. I asked for my pieces.

I tried. Gag!!!

At that point I cannot even try to work this out. I just put the coffee back on the counter. I told them it wasn't working. Have a goodnight.

After such a long day. I just want unwind.

I couldn't even get a coffee order.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better one.

Easy Nail Art for Chipped Tips: Mani Monday

This article is from birchbox.com, click here to view article

As much as we love nail art, we’re better at admiring designs than coming up with them ourselves. That’s why we’ve enlisted Anna Norman, the smarty pants behind Glitter, She Wrote, to be a regular contributor. Every Monday, she’ll be sharing her latest lacquer inspiration—you won’t be satisfied with plain ol’ polish again.
Chips happen. Even if you use top-of-the-line polish and take the utmost care with your nails, the final day of a manicure isn’t always pretty. But just because you have a chip or two doesn’t mean you need to start from scratch.
On days when I’m running out of the house or don’t feel like taking off all of my polish (especially dark polish or glitter, which can be labor-intensive), I turn to nail art for a quick cure. Today I brought life back to my chipped nails with a simple technique—reinforcement sticker half moons. Here’s how to get the look:
Step 1: Apply a round binder hole reinforcement sticker to the bottom of each nail—you’ll find these in the office supply aisle of the drugstore. I applied them on top of a days-old manicure, but if you are starting fresh, make sure to let your base polish dry completely before applying the stickers. I’m wearing China Glaze Smoke and Ashes, a nearly-black polish with green shimmer.
Step 2: Choose a second polish color. If you’re trying to cover up chipped tips, this polish should have a full-coverage consistency—sheers, jellies, or thin glitters won’t work well here. Apply one or two coats of the polish over the top portion of your nail, leaving the section beneath the sticker untouched. I’m using Zoya Dove, a creamy pale grey with great coverage.
Step 3: While the polish is still wet, carefully remove the reinforcement sticker. (It’s best to work one nail at a time so you can remove the sticker before the polish dries).
Step 4: Clean up any polish that ended up outside the lines with a Q-tip or small brush dipped in nail polish remover, and add a top coat for shine and protection.
I love this geometric look. It’s modern and on-trend without being too wild. And the best part? No one will ever guess that you have chipped nails underneath!

Monthly makeup subscription BirchBox

The new trend of monthly makeup subscription boxes began just last year with the startup BirchBox.
birchbox
BirchBox.com was founded by Hayley Barna and Katia Beauchamp, two Harvard Business School graduates who wanted to both provide a way for companies to see just how effective samples were and to provide women (and men too) with a way to find cosmetics and other beauty products that work for them.
How BirchBox works:
BirchBox works on a subscription based model for $10 a month.
BirchBox ships out small brown cardboard boxes to customers that are filled with 4-5 “deluxe” sized samples from popular cosmetics and beauty brands.
For $10 a month it’s worth it to join just to get a cute surprise in your mailbox each month. BirchBox also sells all of the full sized products and each month the featured products are shipped free if you decide to make a purchase.
In case you want to join BirchBox, here’s you invite to BirchBox.
